Christmas is a time of inclusivity and togetherness, and the traditions we uphold should reflect that. In my own home, I alternate between a star and a fairy on the top of my Christmas tree each year. This simple act is my way of ensuring that everyone feels included—whether it’s Santa, a fairy, or the spirit of Christmas itself.

Today’s children often face circumstances quite different from those of my childhood. With changing family dynamics, many kids now find themselves spending Christmas in non-traditional ways—on vacations, with friends, or even alternating between separated parents’ homes. While these situations can be filled with joy, they can also bring uncertainty.
